Correcting vision with glasses
In order to see clearly, our eyes have to perfectly focus the light reflected from the objects we are looking at. Refractive errors, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia, mean that the eye does not focus light properly and visual correction is required.
This course will introduce the different types of refractive errors and explain what causes it. It will also discuss the different types of spectacle lenses, including spherical and toric lenses and how these work to correct vision.
Finally, written prescriptions will be broken down to help you understand what each of the numbers mean.
